Growth and Decay

The first day of a new month and it is theme day at City Daily Photo.  This month's theme, chosen by the bloggers is decay.  Right outside my door is a decaying park bench.  It has seen better days and the wooden seat is decaying rapidly.  To see other image click here. www.citydailyphoto.org

  1. Great post for theme day, this poor old bench would have carried the weight of many a person in the day.

  5. There is only so much we can expect from wood. Bye bye bench.
But this bench will live on in your blog.

  7. It looks wonderful in its decay. Still a lot of life in its sculptural beauty!

  8. Yes, I think this bench has served its time and can only be viewed rather than sat upon. But, actually, a clever crafts person could replace the wood. The metal frame looks pretty sturdy. Time will tell :).

  11. It does look as if the metal is good and the wood could be replaced but it would lose its character!

  15. Wonderful old seat. B&W does it so well. You asked about special filter or effect - there were none. I have a coolpix point and shoot camera and my computer's too old for photoshop.
