Archways at Yale

On the old campus at Yale there are several archways that lead you in and out.  One I showed yesterday with the graffiti which is also shown below for comparison.  These were taken at dusk.

Happy Thanksgiving all

Zuccotti Park in NYC

Zuccotti Park formerly known as Liberty Plaza is down by Wall Street.  Rainey day.  Monday.  But the lights were lit.  For the history you can read about it HERE.

St. Paul's Chapel at Trinity Wall Street

St. Paul's Chapel was instrumental as was Trinity Church during 9/11 and the days following.  Inside the Chapel are artifacts and places where you can offer prayers.  Pilgrimage Altar is one such place.  If you care to leave a virtual prayer here for today, please do.

Friday at the Feeder

Photo bomb!
Can't help but laugh at the guy to the right eyeing the camera.
This is a Common Grackle.  While I don't think they are the most beautiful birds I do like the iridescent colors of the head and wings.

Rainy Day in NYC

I spent a cold and rainy day in New York City yesterday visiting a friend.  This is the Hudson River looking towards the Statue of Liberty.

Still Salem

These witches had a fab idea.  They looked crafty and ominous and sat, straight faced, on one of the benches.  Kids would come up to have their photo taken and then parents would drop some cash into their bucket.  Maybe next year.....

Friday at the Feeder

New Feeder!!!  It took the birds a few hours to figure this one out and that it was filled but they did.  I had issues with that other feeder which kept falling...not due to squirrels but a falty hook.  The photo above has two birds coming and going.  I love watching all of the activity.
Incoming!  Wish he was a bit clearer.

Salem!!

These lovely couples were out for a stroll on a cool and grey Halloween morning.  I guess it's better than their alternative.

Salem!

This lovely woman was standing in the street handing out brochures to come and see another attraction.  She was very vague and moved her head quizzically.

Salem!

Not for the faint of heart!  This week I'll be showing you sights from Salem, Massachusetts where I spent Halloween Day.  Of course, witch costumes were the norm.  This was not a 'real person' but a resin one from one of the places that told a more fictionalized story of the trials of 1692.

Salem, Massachusetts

Over the next week I'll show you some photos from Halloween day at Salem, Massachusetts.

Waves III

The last two days I showed you waves that were taken at a very fast shutter speed to freeze the motion.  Today's photos were taken at a slow shutter speed to make the waves appear like silk. I like the first photo better.
