The Making of a Strawberry Festival

What goes into a Strawberry Festival?  Lots of work and fun and fellowship.  We began on Friday with  bringing in all of the strawberries and rhubarb.  This was just the beginning.



There were teams of choppers all over the kitchen and cafeteria of High Plains Community Center where the festival was held.
These strawberries were being sugared and cooked for the topping on the strawberry shortcakes.  More tomorrow, in fact all week I'll show photos of the festival.

    These pictures are fun. Rhubarb?! Oh it's been so long since I tasted rhubarb.
