Getting back to the Orange Country Fair we have the oxen pull. Always one of my fair favorites. Not sure why because it's slow, usually uneventful, and I always feel a bit sorry for the animals. But there is something about being yoked together to make the work light. Or, well, lighter when you are dragging large blocks of cement. As Dina said in my post on Tuesday, "May his yoke be easy and his burden light." Matthew 11: 30

ReplyDeleteThe only yoke we had at Heifer Ranch had once been for the water buffalo Briggs and Stratton. Local churches were always wanting to borrow it on certain Sundays.
