Sunflower Starfish

This was a dried specimen of a Sunflower Seastar that we had in my Marine Natural Science Illustration Class.

From Wikipedia

Sunflower seastars usually have 16 to 24 limbs; their color can vary widely. They are predatory, feeding mostly on sea urchinsclamssnails, and other small invertebrates.
Below is the underside of the sea star.

  2. Hi, would you sell this for wall art?? It looks like the sun! Everything I have is sun, moon and stars... this fish is amazingly beautiful! If not, do you know where I could buy one? I don't want any to die, just visually curious! Beautiful!
