These photographs, while not of good quality, hold a very special meaning for me on this Good Friday. I was able to spend an entire night of reflection and prayer in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem in July of 2008. On this special day, Good Friday, I am reminded that all of my faults and errors, all of the ways that I have disappointed or have been misguided can be taken to the foot of the cross and left in hope of a new day.
Friday at the feeder will be back next week.
Someday, I mean some night, I hope to be brave enough to do what you did, a night locked into the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
ReplyDeleteI love your penultimate statement. May it be so.
