Splash!

Fun night with Milford Photo down at Gulf Beach in Milford.  Jesse had his camera set up - a fancy thing - and we had our SD cards ready to go.  His son was on a step ladder and dropped large flat rocks into the water.  Our task was to hit the remote at the perfect time to get optimum splash.

The Strawberry Pickers

A group of us went strawberry picking while others stayed back in the kitchen to hull the packaged strawberries and begin the pie baking.  It was a hot, hot day and lots of people were out picking.  We got a nice hall though, enough for us to sell fresh picked strawberries on the day of the festival.

Strawberry Festival 2015

Finally I've gotten around to editing the photos from the Orange Congregational Church Strawberry Festival.  Today's photos feature scenes from the Thursday before the fest.  It was rhubarb chopping day.

Daffodils in Spring

I know I've been off line for a while with the posts.  I've just been so busy that I haven't had the time. Here's one from the archives taken in Norwalk when the daffodils were in bloom.

Friday at the Feeder

OK, so this is probably a stretch for a FATF post but this is a demonstration of how birds are depicted in other ways.  This is the Chrysler Building in Manhattan and on the 61st floor the art deco architecture is graced with eagles.  If only I had a telephoto lens you'd be able to see.  ICONIC NY!

Just one of the many corridors in Grand Central, NYC.  OK - done with showing you the train station soon we'll be up and out.

Cell phone glow

A worker from one of the kiosks or restaurants takes a moment to check up on messages.  The cell phone glow was definitely in the atmosphere at GCT.

I don't know the story on this one but perhaps the groom is prepping for nuptials.  I also don't know if this is his bride to be or what but apparently she didn't get the memo to wear white.

This couple was engrossed in photographing Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan.  Their son not so much.  It is a pretty amazing place to just stand and be in awe of its beauty.

Friday at the Feeder

Pigeons of Tudor Place in New York City.  These beauties were just a sitting there near the overpass watching the silly photographers vie for position to shoot Manhattenhenge.  LOVE their salmon colored feet.  

Train Waiters

These two women were waiting for the next train to wherever.  Looks like they had a long wait and it was hot so sitting on the marble of Grand Central Terminal must have felt real good.

Hour Glass Figure

This lovely lady was headed toward the 7 train in the subway system of New York City.  Loved her dress as she strutted on by.  Over the next few days I'll be featuring photos from my Saturday foray into view Manhattenhenge.
