The Dr. Ezra Mather house in Essex, Connecticut dated 1815.  Essex is a way cute town, definitely worth a summertime stay in the future.

Friday at the Feeder

These are photos that I took several years ago down at Long Wharf in New Haven.  So it's sort of a TBT @ Friday at the Feeder.  I'm so way low on material and time right now, I'll need to be on hiatus for a bit.  Thanks for understanding.

Missouri Barn

This is the only painting that I left from college days at William Woods University.  circa 1973.  It's pretty primitive from what I paint now.  Dilapidated barns still hold my interest for their tenacious character and their refusal to collapse.

Now a green should be green!

I'm not getting out much these days so my material is getting less and less.  Looks like its time for an excursion.  But to where?  That's the question.

Friday at the Feeder - Look who is coming to dinner

Our neighborhood friend Whitey has come to the Wagner feeder to dine.  All birds cleared the way for him.

Even the squirrels get the leftovers.

 Now I lay me down to sleep with a bag of peanuts at my feet.  

Behind Bars

Orange Phil

Punxsutawney Phil's competition right here in Orange.  I backed out of my garage and waited for the door to make sure that it stayed closed.  Sometimes it decides to go back up again since the snow has been with us.  As I waited our own "Orange Phil" came out.  I was pretty amazed to see him and I think he was equally amazed at the snow cover.  He just sat there and didn't move.  It was like a stand off.  Finally I drove off and he went back I supposed from where he came.  There is this one place near the garage entrance that seems to be the entrance to a little chipmunk enclave.

Hand Colored Post Card

Someone posted this on one of my congregant's FB timelines a few days ago.  I have been looking and looking for a vintage postcard of Orange Congregational.  If any of you have one, or know of where I might find one, please let me know.  I want to have a vintage photo of all of the churches I have served.  So far I have two out of the four.  Thanks!  With apologies to CDP...this is not my photograph!!

A Night at the Opera

Some friends invited me to 'A Night at the Opera' performed by the New Haven Chorale.  It was a wonderfully warm evening of food and opera.  Here we are at Battell Chapel on the campus of Yale University.
