 Surprise - It's bats!  Below are two little white bats that hang out in the crease of this plant.

This is another variety of bat, not sure what it is, neither do I really care.  But there they are, you can enlarge the photo for a closer view.  All down in Costa Rica.

Howler Monkey

This guy was heard loudly along with his cohorts at the Selva Verde Lodge rainforest in Sarapiqui, Costa Rica.

Another Poison Dart Frog

Just two more

Just two more of this little guy before we move on to another kind of Poison Dart Frog.  There are many varieties, if you Google image Poison Dart Frog you'll see the beautiful colors and patterns.  This one was only an inch long.

Strawberry Poison Dart Frog

Well I think I'm back after this little photo hiatus.  Many issues.  Don't ask.
Over the next few days I'll post photos of poison dart frogs from Costa Rica.  This one, as far as I can tell, is a Strawberry PDF.  There are more than 100 species of PDF's varying in patterns and color.  This little guy is also called the 'blue jeans' frog because of his blue legs.  The eat mostly spiders and yummy small insects like ants.

Bug

I've had a major malfunction with my computer resulting in the purchase of a new one.  Photos couldn't transfer easily and so I now have to get lost in the cloud to find them.  They are there, just not easily accessible on the new computer.  SO - going off line for a while. Adios.

Monkey Shines!

This is Noelia who lives at the Toucan Rescue Ranch.  She's just a baby Spider Monkey.

The bottom two photos aren't as clear but she was just cute as a little button and making lots of monkey shines.

Suspended!

 In addition to zip lines Costa Rica seems to like it's suspension bridges.  Each time we hiked in the rainforest we had to walk across a long suspension bridge.

 This one had a spiral staircase down to the bottom before the river.

Lori and Jennifer were brave fit enough to climb down in the heat.

They were also the ones that I zip lined with!!!!
